Madrid Camp Fair

Camp Summers USA’s Madrid Job Fair was a huge success, connecting seven American summer camps with over 150 enthusiastic applicants from across Spain, all pursuing the adventure of a lifetime working at a USA Summer Camp.

In partnership with IENA (International Exchange of North America) and Ace Spain, camp directors and staff enjoyed four unforgettable days in Spain’s vibrant capital.

As they explored Madrid’s iconic landmarks and culture, anticipation built for the main event on Saturday 31st January, a day full of opportunity, energy and connection.

At the fair, participants discovered how Camp Summers USA and Camp New York empower young people through cultural exchange, adventure and leadership with the Summer camps that they work with. It was the perfect setting to find out how spending a summer at camp in the U.S. can enhance skills, confidence and global understanding through cultural exchange.

Why Madrid Stands Out

A Spanish camp fair offers experiences you won’t find anywhere else. Between interviews and networking, camp directors soaked up Madrid’s football fever, including seeing Real Madrid secure a victory at the legendary Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and visited the stunning town of Chinchón, complete with a guided vineyard tour and authentic tapas lunch.

These shared cultural moments created genuine bonds and showcased why Madrid is such a unique fair compared to anything else. It also demonstrated why applicants can be assured that there will always be life changing opportunities presented to them at camp job fairs put on by Camp Summers USA. We pride ourselves on the relationships directors and applicants build by meeting one another, proving why Madrid is such a special location for summer camp recruitment.

With world-class skilled applicants, incredible hospitality and unforgettable experiences, it’s a fair every camp should have on their calendar and an event that every applicant looking for a job should want to attend.

The Opportunity of a Lifetime

For participants, Camp Summers USA offers paid roles as camp mentors, coaches, what we refer to as camp counsellors, the chance to improve English, gain leadership experience and make lifelong memories in the USA is a must for any young person in Spain.

Starting salaries for participants begin at $2,300, with contracts running seven to nine weeks and up to 30 days to travel America after the season ends.

Applicants must be 18 or older before 1st June 2026, available between 15th June and 12th August, and confident in English.

Carlos Martin, Founder of Camp Summers USA, said: “It was fantastic to see so many passionate young people at our Madrid Fair.

“We’re proud to provide an experience that helps them grow both personally and professionally. We aim to create memories that will last a lifetime for both the Summer Camps themselves and the participants.”
